Everyone we talk to told us that CO had a really bad season, bad snow, few snow… We didn’t really care. More snow than Buenos Aires is good enough for us.
When we were approaching the mountains from Denver, it started snowing…and its been already almost 3 days it hasn’t stop. Lucky us :)
First day we rode Breckenridge, the second day (Saturday) we tried but I guess we got late (9.30am) because we couldn’t find any spot to park. In any paid lot, free lot, city parkings or street spots!. So we drove to Keystone, 30 min away and spend it there. Some tree runs, some rests of powder and when a little bit of sun came out we did some park laps to warm up the season.
Sunday, we woke up 6am to make sure we find a spot at Breck! 7:50am we were going up the gondola. It was so cold! -15.C feels like -30.C … the solution: hand warmers, and toe warmers, and up to rip all the powder.
From Peak 8, at Breck we did this little healthy hike to the Summit Peak, it totally worth it. F
PS: we just found this snowfall broke February records.
