Maluaka.

We wanted to snorkel, we already had the snorkel kit we got at Walmart now we needed the perfect beach. I just Googled “best snorkel maui” and the south shore was the place to go. There were many options depending on people’s ability, but the best reef was in Maluaka.
We drove towards there, and the beaches looked amazing. We put our kit on and went to the water. It was so easily to reach the reef… and on first we were there we minutes we saw the HONU: these giant turtles that live in the Hawaiian shores. It was amazing, yet a little bit scary, to swim with these giant animals.

Afterwards, we wanted to try another beach, and went to the AHIHI Reserve. It also has a surf spot, and it was more for surfing rather than snorkeling that day. It is a volcano beach with black stones, very pretty to visit. We gave it a try for snorkeling but it was rage.
